I began my legal career in June 2008, following a 19 year career as an accountant in both private and public industry. I am a Mediator, am trained in Collaborative Law, and a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Internal Auditor.  

I assist my clients in business formation, planning, transactions, corporate compliance, and resolving disputes. With regard to tax law, I work with individual and business clients to resolve Federal and state tax controversy issues. 

Prior to beginning the practice of law, I served as an accountant in roles including finance and operations director at a private equity firm, controller of a law firm, controller of two joint venture start-up entities, internal audit manager of a publicly traded real estate operator and developer, senior project accountant of a regional commercial and residential property management company, and manager at a public accounting firm. I also served as benefits administrator at a law firm and at a private equity firm.  

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Accounting from George Mason University, and my Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
